My blog currently requires lots of photos.
First of all the food is amazing.Almost comparable to Italian and Indian food(my biggest loves),ever heard of a sushi go around?Well if not you are missing out.The sushi goes on a conveyer belt and it's extremely cheap.You just pick what you want!

Did i mention Japanese have excellent desserts?They are not too sweet,they are heavenly,and sadly bad for your thighs!


And we obviously tried Japanese food too,this particular kind of cooking is called Shabu shabu do to the motion you do in cooking the veggies and meat from side to side in a pot.And yes you cook it yourself!




There are simpler things,and also they love curry!This place is the place for me!THis was was a curry soup(yes I am all about the soups!)They even had naan.I might just move here forever!

JAPAN!or Shapan like Richard says!

A month ago we moved to Japan.Every since we got here we have not had a moment to rest,always something to do,paperwork to get done,places to see,and of course make sure we eat! FOr those who know me i am a HUGE FOOD ADDICT. I love food. I love trying new food, and i like traveling. Sasebo is not a big place according to what i have been told, it's also not very far from Nagasaki, but it is so pretty! Our apartament is on base, located half an hour from Main base,and the building it's called UME tower,which means Plum Flower. From our house we can see a little dutch village, every weekend we get to see free fireworks, and they put out quite a show on New Years eve.

Newest cooking experiments

I absolutely love cooking,more than quilting,more than scrapbooking,and i am my biggest critic.I sit through a meal trying to figure out what i did right and what not,i experiment a lot in the kitchen.
The cupcakes where for Erin's bday,gotta spoil a friend every so often!

Then i made this one for the 4th of July
Instead of using just blueberries and strawberries we used raspberries too

Then i had a small pirate party for Bella and Richard and made this cake
Nothing special but it made the kids happy.

Also me and Ian are huge triple D fans,so we go to try the Shanty,Hackney's,Chempazuchi,Frank's diner and actually go to Johnny Garlic's,Guy Fieri's restaurant!I am so excited to try all these cool places on our way to Cali!Luckily Ian doesn't think i am a freak and is willing to do this with us!We met other triple d fans!Did you know there is a couple that has done been to 100 out of 400 of the restaurants?

I am a slacker!

Cassie is now 9 months old.What can I say about her?She is stubborn,she is sweet,she has giggles and cries,she melts our hearts.You can walk in the room and her face will just brighten up!The way she looks at Richard is something I will never forget.Once upon a time,i thought one child was enough,boy was i wrong,I cannot imagine life without adding little Miss Cassie to our family!We had been through hell when Richard was born,not sure what the future held for him.But fast forward to 4 years later,he is an amazingly smart child,stubborn like his sister,with temper tantrums that will drive you insane,but when he comes to you and tells you:MOMMY I LOVE YOU,it makes my day!Nothing like knowing he now really means it.Cassie is still breastfeeding.We hit the 9 month milestone.And to think I almost didn'try.I have to thank Charmaine,CArol,Angie and Rose for my success,oh and obviously myself for not giving up through the pain and the biting.I discovered something so easy and that has been around for centuries but I knew nothing about with Richard,BABYWEARING,seriously I love love love it.I love my mei tai,and i just bought an ergo,I wear Cassie for hours around the mall.Apparently every 30 minutes that you walk carrying a baby you burn a little under 200 calories.I have became a little crunchy.I have practiced some cosleeping,i=I have grown my own plants and made babyfood out of my produce,and let me tell you,feeding her my own stuff has been so saddisfying!We are soon moving to Japan,it took 7 garage sales and our suv stuffed of stuff to get rid of most extras,i recently sold the train table and the futon will be out of the house asap.2 more months and tons to do still.I feel like O am so not ready yet!In the meantime we do what we can,Reinassance faire,children's museum in Round Lake,Union Train Museum,Dinosaur museum,Police of Lake County event and more!

I have a dream

I love cooking,i'd love to open my own restaurant.Ian and i agreed that if i get my nutritionist degree i can also attend a culinary school.This blog was created to also share my cooking experiences.Here is my latest expiriments:black forest cake and falafel!On valentine's day Richard was sick so i went out with Carol and bought some ingredients to make a nice meal at home.I made roasted veggies,some chived puddings,pesto chicken and the tasty cake!


That day was also the princess first valentines,so i had to take a picture!

10 years ago

Ten years ago i smoked,i partied,i drank socially,i stayed out late...Now?I am married,i have 2 kids,i don't do any of the above anymore,and i love my life.I don't want to go into too many details,but life growing up for me was though.Mom is a single mother that babysits,cleans houses,worked in a nursery of a church,takes cares of the elderly,worked in a store...An amazing woman whom tried to give me anything a girl could need or want.But 10 years ago,when i wasn't a mother i didn't appreciate her enough.We sure realize how stupid we can be when we are young.My life has changed immensely.I live across the world,i am a military wife,a mother,a daughter,a friend.And about friends...Me and Save are still best friends,both with kids,and suffering from being so far away.Alessandra is another amazing friend,one of the few i am still in thouch with often,she always visits my mom too and we send each other goodies all the time.I made a few friends here,some truly dear ones,just to name some:Cara and Shaun,Venessa,Liz,Carol,Charmaine,Angie,PJ,Andrea and i am sure i am forgetting some,these are some of the people whom have made a difference in my life,have shown me what it means to be selfless and that it is possible to stay friends even when you move away.Since i moved to the US i have had at least 2 very bad experiences with women.LIve and learn right?I want to believe that everything you experience happens for a reason.We recently started attending church.I love being there with my family,i love singing along,i love watching Richard run to the altar all dressed up and giving Jesus a little donation.He loves going to Mass,the music not so much.He doesn't like others singing that much,so we avoid some gymboree classes for that reason.Anyway enough rambling i need to clean now

It's been so long

It's been way to long.So recently we added a new member to the Crazy Chambers Clan.Cassandra joined us via csection on december 6th at 11:03 pm(yeah i like to have babies at night!)weighing 6 lb 8 oz and measuring 18 3/4 inches long.Such a sweet tiny baby.She nursed like a champ all night.I was immediately in love,it was also so weird seeing all the dark hair she has since her brother's where red and very few compared to her,but her cry is what melted my heart.Richard has laryngomalacia,which means at birth his larynx hadn't developed completely so his cry was really low...I love my kids,they are absolutely adorable and Richard loves his little sister,here are some new pics
