Newest house project.

I kept telling Ian that having groceries on the floor (which is a nasty stained carpet) in the pantry, was getting old. Reaching anything in the back was impossible. So for months I pinned ideas on pinterest and finally he made it reality.I'm lucky to have a man with many talents. In the meantime my plants are producing daily, and my herbs are growing.I have chives,cilantro,parseley,mint coming out now.

Whistler and Texas family reunions.

Ian's grandparents had planned a wonderful family reunion. We truly enjoyed Canada , and Whistler. Sadly my grandma passed while there , so I came back home,did some work on the house, and left for Texas.I got to see my sister after 30 years.Our parents married each other and we have a brother in common. Lots of bonding happened, got to see a cousin I hadn't see in forever and got to do a road trip with my family. Heather held down the fort while I was gone, taking care of kids on duty day and working hard. As someone that grew up with my grandma and mom and didn't have family reunions etc,this was all so wonderful.I am grateful for our families and the memories created this year. height="240" data-original-width="1600" data-original-height="1200" />

HOME IMPROVEMENTS

Ian, Heather and I worked really hard while Heather visited. I had to go to Texas due to my grandma's death so I ended up being surprised upon my return!Ian and Heather finishes the deck and the stairs. It's beautiful and safe now! In the process I learned to sand and paint!

This last weekend.

Friday was a crazy evening. I had a migraine and lit the handle of my cast iron pan on fire in the broiler.Which Means I quickly used a fire extingusher and am still cleaning days later. No fun.I added a picture at the end. On saturday I fell down the garage stairs.Luckily I only bruised my wrist,and my ego.Also me and the kids got our hair done for The family reunion.Miss Cassie wouldn't let her tangly,wild ,dry hair be cut unless we added a little pink.So We strategically places a few pink stripes,school allows it and she feels like a rock star!Now her hair is soft too,and healthy. Sunday was a full day of exploring.We tried a Lutheran church,went to their botanic gardens,did some rock hunting At the Arlington rock walk and ate at a "new" to the kids diner.Here are pics.
